It is my work to help people stay or get healthy. I consider what I do “Wellness Coaching” because I look at the whole person – their nutrition, their lifestyle, their physical capacity, and their psyche. But no one can be entirely healthy if their environment isn’t healthy and safe. The Guardian newspaper has embarked on a very ambitious and important campaign to educate and raise awareness about climate change. Please take the time to look at this link and sign the petition. This photo is a graphic reminder of the importance of good posture. Our lives, which involve so much use of computers and other devices, are contributing to forward neck posture, as seen here. The results range from stiffness and pain to headaches. In the long run the spine is so compromised that there is a significant loss of range of motion and mobility. Arthritis is another common issue affecting many of us as we age. So many people driving down the freeways can’t turn their heads! Getting regular Fascial Stretches can reverse the problems from forward neck posture. Then doing some exercises will strengthen the weakened muscles. Make an appointment and I’ll help you!

My buddies; Ginger (the little one) and Freddie! One of the highlights of my days is taking them on a walk. There is abundant evidence that having pets is beneficial for your health and I agree!!! Besides of the obvious increased activity and potential weight loss from walking and playing with them, being with an animal results in reduced blood pressure, cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Exposure to animals can help children lessen allergy risks too! If you aren’t ready to have your own dog maybe you can “borrow” a friends’ or neighbors’ and everyone will be happier and healthier!
